Volunteer Befriender

As a Volunteer Befriender (VB) for SPACE, you will serve as guides and befrienders throughout the session with the children. You will assist them in the learning, crafts, and guide them as they put together their performance for the session.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist children during sessions to facilitate their learning
• Engage with children in conversations
• Check in with children on their experiences during the activities

Volunteer befrienders are welcome to sign up for any session shifts according to their flexibility and comfort. Orientation & Training will be conducted on the day of the volunteering session.

Volunteer Coordinator

As a Volunteer Coordinator (VC) for SPACE, you will serve as guides to the volunteers and support them in their engagement with children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and facilitate sessions
• Assist volunteers during sessions
• Debrief volunteers on their experience and learning
• Gather feedback from volunteers about the program
• Ensure safety of children and volunteers, and remain accountable to program staff for various program matters.
