Elderly Befriender
This is a Vicinity-based Elderly Befriending Programme for seniors.
Indian seniors are generally reserved in their own abodes as most of them are inhibited from participating in community social programmes, generally due to language barriers and the associated lack of connection built with their non-Indian counterparts. This programme aims to reach out to seniors who are lonely and at risk of facing social isolation by matching Befrienders to them.
