ABOUT

  • PSLE Maths Coaching initiative returns for its 4th edition in 2022!

    This initiative aims to provide additional intensive support in Standard Maths to Primary 6 pupils. Through close supervision by coaches, we hope that pupils will achieve at least a passing grade in Standard Maths for their PSLE in 2022.

    • Commitment: at least 1.5h/week, March - September 2022
    • Location: Select your preferred district for coaching (i.e. East, Central, North East etc)
    • Timing: State your weekly availability
    • Ratio: 1 coach will be matched to 1 student

    We will try our best to match volunteers with students according to geographical location. Arrangement of location and timing is flexible between the volunteer and the student (with the knowledge of their parents/guardian).

  • CAUSES

Role of a Coach:

  • Develop rapport with students
  • celebrate their strengths and motivate them to overcome their gaps
  • Help cultivate good studying habits

Criteria:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to understand and explain primary 6 mathematics concepts
  • Pass the screening test
  • Attend briefing and training sessions
  • Screening: To submit a video of yourself explaining the solution to a Primary 6 Math problem sum
  • Briefing and training: mandatory sessions will be provided so that volunteers are able to understand their roles better and equip themselves with relevant skills (e.g. building rapport with students, tip & tricks to score for math exam etc)
