ABOUT
  • Have an idea to do good? But no idea where to start?

    Come join us as to learn how you can apply a design thinking framework to create sustainable social impact!

    Design thinking is a creative process where you build empathy for users or customers, define a problem so you that know what you're working towards, ideate to come up with possibilities, prototype and test the best ideas. The workshop session by Social Impact Catalyst aims to help youths working on their impact project to think in the perspective of their beneficiaries and come up with sustainable solutions and/or projects that create positive impact. 

    Following which, learn how you can create a proposal to apply for the Youth Corps Service Week 2020 Project Funding where you could receive grants for your projects up to $500. 

     

    Programme Details:

    6.45pm – Registration & Dinner

    7.15pm – Introduction to YCS & Social Impact Catalyst 

    7.30pm – Design thinking workshop “How to design a solution or project for your beneficiary when planning your impact project”.

    Key topics:

    a. Needs Analysis and design thinking (Covered by Geraldine)

    b. Sustainability and Impact Measurement  (Covered by Qian Yi)

    8.30pm – Breakout Discussions

    9.30pm – Closing & Feedback

    Social Impact Catalyst is the largest youth-centric organisation focused on social entrepreneurship and innovation in ASEAN. It aims to champion social impact initiatives across ASEAN, and grow a community of young leaders committed to social impact and socially-driven businesses.

Join us at our design thinking workshop to learn how you can put your ideas to create social impact to practice!

Come with your project ideas and learn key aspects of the Design Thinking framework, Needs Analysis, Sustainability and Impact Measurement.  

Following which, learn how you can create a proposal to apply for the Youth Corps Service Week 2020 Project Funding where you could receive grants for your projects up to $500. 

Youth Corps Service Week Lead-in Sessions aim to better equip our youth on the social landscape such that they may then use these skills and/or knowledge to effectively take social action. YCSW 2020 is Youth Corp Singapore's signature community service event running from the 14th to 22nd March where over a 1000 volunteering opportunities across a range of causes are curated specially for youth to participate in.
