ABOUT

  • We're looking for mentors to guide and support Sec 3 and Sec 4 students (from low-income families). 1 mentor would be assigned to 3 mentees.

     

    Responsibilities of Mentors

    • Support students socially and emotionally e.g. foster positive self-esteem, motivation to excel in education
    • Share tips /advice on studies, goal setting, future readiness to enter tertiary education such as ITE or polytechnic
    • Submit monthly mentoring reports to track progress

     

    Commitment of Mentors (subjected to changes)

    • 9 months from Apr to Nov 2021
    • 2 mentoring sessions per month
      • 1 online (fixed date) & 1 online session (OTOT) per month

Important Things

  • Mentors are required to be between at least 18 to 35 years of age in 2021 
  • All applicants would be required to undergo a virtual screening process
  • Successful applicants must attend a 1-day mentoring training session to be equipped with the relevant knowledge and skills
  • Tentative timeline:
    • Sep to Dec 2020: Recruitment, training and screening of mentors
    • Feb 2021: Briefing for mentors & mentor-mentee matching & deployment of mentors and beginning of mentoring journey
    • Nov 2021: Mentoring journey ends

  • Age Range: 18 to 35 years old
  • Singapore Citizen , Singapore PR only
