1) Volunteer Befriender (LGS - Wednesday)

As a Travel Buddy, volunteers will be paired with students with special needs from MINDS to support them in a weekly Travel Training programme designed to help them travel independently and confidently on public transport.

- Volunteers will need to commit to 8 Travel Training sessions on the same weekday (either Wed or Thurs).

Please ensure your commitment to the following dates:

• 1 x Compulsory Orientation & Training (O&T)
  Date: 30 Jun 2023 (Friday)
  Time: 9am to 5pm
  Location: The Red Box, 113 Somerset Rd, Singapore 238165

• 8 x Travel Training Sessions on Wednesday*
  Dates: 5 Jul, 12 Jul, 19 Jul, 26 Jul, 2 Aug, 16 Aug, 23 Aug, 30 Aug 2023
  Time: 4.30pm to 6.30pm
  Location: MINDS Lee Kong Chian Gardens School, 802 Margaret Dr, Singapore 149311

Please Note:

• Applicants may be contacted to go through an interview before confirmation of the volunteering role.
• The Orientation & Training on 30 June 2023 is compulsory as it provide guidance for volunteers on how to befriend and interact meaningfully with Persons with Intellectual Disability.
• For YCCI interns who are required to clock at least 12 volunteering sessions, you may sign up for timeslots on both Wed and Thurs (refer to Thurs schedule below)
