Singapore’s most prestigious badminton event is back to our sunny island! World class shuttlers from around the globe will battle it out at the Singapore Badminton Open 2020.
From 7-12 April 2020, watch top players compete for the US$408,000 prize purse at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. This Super 500 event is organized by the Singapore Badminton Association and is part of the HSBC BWF World Tour.
The Singapore leg has proved to be a successful marquee event that attracted badminton legends to our shores. Past tournaments have witnessed world class players from around the globe, such as Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, Chen Long, Tai Tzu-ying, Kento Momota, Taufik Hidayat, Peter Gade, Viktor Axelsen, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, Hendra Setiawan, Boonsak Ponsana, Sun Yu, Wang Yihan and Saina Nehwal.
We are recruiting Team Nila for various roles to assist in the competition.
Volunteer benefits includes event t-shirt, meals etc.
Note: Preference will be given to volunteers who can commit to 3 or more days. The event organiser will shortlist the volunteers after the registration deadline.
Guest Service Officer
You are required to assist in the games operation during competition days.
Roles will include (any other roles that may be assigned):
1) Information Booth
2) Operations & Logistics
3) Hospitality Area
4) Ushers (Ground/Entrance/Car Park)
5) Warm Up Area
You will be based at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
There will not be any pre-event briefing. Briefing will only be conducted when you report for duty.

Shifts
Hotel Secretariat/Transport Officer
You will be based at the official hotel to assist as either Hotel Secretariat/Transport Officer or any other role that is required.
You will be providing assistance to the teams, players and officials etc on hotel and transport related matters.
Note: The official hotel will be announced later.

Training Venue Assistant
You are required to ensure that the teams and players are allocated to their correct training timings/courts and to provide any assistance to the teams as required.
You will be based at the OCBC Arena.
