Introducing to you Volunteering Worlds of ASEAN by the Beyond Singapore Cluster! We will get to know more about Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam through an “Escape Room” game and sharing sessions! Speakers from each country will share their volunteering experiences in their respective home countries. This event aims to raise social awareness about volunteerism in ASEAN countries. We present to you our speakers:IndonesiaAlia Fadila, Sekolah Non Formal Feb University of Indonesia, Headmaster Alis is the headmaster of SNF Feb UI. Sekolah Non Formal Feb UI is a non-profit organisation which aims to provide additional help to disadvantage students in the lower income bracket of Indonesia in hopes to bridge the educational gap in Indonesia. VietnamNguyen Ngoc Quang, Movers Facilitator at Mover's Programme Quang is currently a Ph.D student at Hanyang University, South Korea researching at the Research Institute for Convergence of Basic Sciences. He is a member of the Council of ASEAN Professors in Korea, a Movers Facilitator at the Movers Programme which is a regional movement of volunteers who develop Sustainable Development Goals awareness, entrepreneurial mindsets and 21st century skills by conducting localised training at a grassroots level. PhilippinesCeleste Barroso, Gender Specialist at CARE Philippines Celeste Barroso, CARE Philippines' Gender Specialist and focal point for all things gender. She was part of the Women Lead in Emergencies (WLIE) Philippines pilot and later on took the coordinator role for WLIE in its second year. Her work has included Female Genital Mutilation research in the Bangsamoro, Gender Based Violence in COVID-19 response, and several Rapid Gender Analysis. This is an event opportunity that aims to raise social awareness for your learning and development. No community service is involved; hence service hours will not be awarded.
