Volunteer Befriender

Your role as a Volunteer Befriender is to:

• Provide personalised guidance to seniors
• Assist seniors in creating content for social media such as videos and photos 
• Support seniors in understanding other digital-related topics 
• Provide a safe environment for seniors to learn and feel comfortable

Requirements (Pls read before applying):

• Age range: 17 - 35 years old
• Preferable for volunteers to be able to commit to Minimally 3 out of 5 sessions
  
• Preferable for volunteers to be comfortable conversing in Mandarin
• Preferable for volunteers to be up to date with digital trends and social media applications such as Tik Tok, Instagram
• Able to come 30 minutes prior for onsite briefing

• 7 February, Friday (3-5.30pm)
• 14 February, Friday (3-5.30pm)
• 21 February, Friday (3-5.30pm)

Volunteer Coordinator

The role is not open to public. Only open to NUS Honours College students. 

Your role as a Volunteer Coordinator is to:

• Be the point-person for Befrienders
• Support staff in operations of the session
• Curating and delivering digital content related to social media/digital trends (Tiktok / Canva eg.)
• Support staff in delivering content
• Ensure the safety and well-being of seniors and volunteers

Requirements:

• Age range: 17-35 years old
• Preferable if volunteer is able to commit for all sessions
• Preferable if volunteer is able to converse in both English and Mandarin. 
• Facilitating experience will be a bonus
• Able to come 30 mins prior for onsite briefing
