This opportunity is a youth-led initative part of Youth Corps Leaders Programme.
In its fourth year running, Project We+65 aims to improve the physical and social wellbeing of seniors in Sembawang/Canberra through befriending sessions in partnership with Blossom Seeds Limited (BSL) and Agency for Integrated Care.
As a Volunteer Facilitator (VF), you will be working together with the EXCO team to plan and execute the engagement sessions for Phase. you will have the opportunity to hone your leadership and organisational skills.
As a Volunteer Befriender (VB), you will support the EXCO in implementing the programme, befriending and leading the seniors in the various activities planned, while engaging them in meaningful conversations.
By volunteering with We+65, you will be creating a platform for seniors with diverse profiles to network and stay active, enriching their lives and helping them age gracefully. It is your chance to reach out and interact with the seniors and forge meaningful intergenerational bond with them!
Volunteer Befriender
[Role Description]
As a Volunteer Befriender (VB), you will support the EXCO and Volunteer Facilitators (VF) in implementing the programme, befriending and leading the seniors in the various activities planned, while engaging them in meaningful conversations.
[Requirements]
Age Range: 15 to 35 years old
Skills: Befriending, Ability to interact with seniors and have a heart for them
Commitment: Minimally 80% attendance rate, but highly encouraged for volunteers to attend all sessions

Volunteer Facilitator
As a Volunteer Facilitator (VF), you will be working together with the EXCO team to plan and execute the engagement sessions for Phase. you will have the opportunity to hone your leadership and organisational skills. You will be working together with the EXCO, either in the Programmes or Volunteer Management team, in the process of planning and executing the engagement sessions for Phase 2 (August to October).
Age Range: 17 to 35 years old
Skills:
Able to collaborate and work well with others
Prior experience in planning and leading programmes and activities as well as engaging audiences is recommended but not compulsory
Commitment: 2-3h a week (including weekly meetings)
1h (weekly meetings within committees and the whole team)
1h (time out of the meeting to work on certain parts of the proposal if necessary)
You will also be required to join us for the actual engagement session with the seniors!
