Repair Kampung Singapore - Inculcating Repair Culture[YCLPA]
By Youth Corps Singapore

ABOUT
  • This opportunity is a youth-led initiative as a part of Youth Corps Leaders Programme

Repair Kampung Singapore (RKgS) is a sustainability project that aims to promote and foster repair culture amongst the locals. Repaired items can continue to be used instead of being incinerated and ashes disposed into our landfills. Together with the National Environment Agency (NEA) and Sustainable Living Lab (SL2), the team will be building on Cohort 26’s efforts by expanding outreach to the residents living in blocks 1-8 of Lorong Lew Lian (LLL). The team will conduct  eight workshops in two phases, equipping LLL residents with useful repair skills. Subsequently, there will be two repair pop-up events inviting the LLL community to bring their spoiled items for repair. Through these engagements, the project aims to forge a community bond and sustain their repair ecology.

We at Team ReJu would like to instill a sense of repair culture into our volunteer befrienders to spread awareness on the importance of repair and how it can help lead to sustainability in conjunction with the SG 2030 Green Plan

Join us to learn basic repair skills and inspire the community to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
