Beginner: zero proficiency in speaking and understanding
Intermediate: minimal/average proficiency in speaking and understanding
Participants will learn how to hold basic conversation in Hokkien by the end of 6 sessions.
Topics to be covered consist of but not limited to: pronunciation, simple words/phrases/greetings, numbers, food, healthcare, hobbies, places.
Commitment:
As much time and effort is put into planning and curating this programme, we would require that you are able to commit for all 6 planned lessons. This is also to ensure that your learning will be more fruitful.
Kindly note that classes will be kept small so as to ensure participants have ample opportunities to interact with the instructors, clarify any doubts that they may have during the lessons.
By signing up, it does not guarantee your spot for the classes. In the event sign-ups exceed the class capacity, applicants may have to undergo a selection process.
Kindly also note that all sessions will be held physically at National Youth Council HQ.
Do note that only participants that are able to commit to all 6 sessions of dialect class will be considered for the course.
