Yes, you will need to register an account in volunteer.gov.sg and activate your account to sign up for volunteering opportunities. To register a volunteer.gov.sg account: 1. Go to www.volunteer.gov.sg 2. Tap 'Sign Up' in the top right corner of your screen 3. Enter your name, email and password 4. Read the site's 'Terms of Use' and 'Privacy Statement' and check on the box to agree to the terms 5. Tap 'Register' To finish creating your account, you need to activate your account. To activate your account: 1. An email containing the activation details will be sent to the email address that you registered with 2. Follow the instructions in the email to activate your account If you did not receive the activation email, please check if the mail has gone into your junk mail folder. If you are still unable to locate the email, you may submit an online enquiry and we will get in touch with you soon.

To withdraw from a shift, follow these steps: 1. Go to profile 2. Under Opportunities, select the shift you wish to withdraw from 3. Click More Actions > My Shifts 4. If the withdraw button is visible, click it and provide your reason 5. If the withdraw button is not visible, the withdrawal period has ended. Please contact the opportunity coordinator directly using the contact details on the opportunity page For any other issues, reach out to the organiser via the contact details provided.

As part of opportunity registration, NRIC is required from volunteers to accurately establish or verify their identities to a high degree of fidelity. In addition, the NRIC as well as some other personal details may be needed in the event of unforeseen emergency circumstances during the event/opportunity.

Pending Status: The application is still pending approval/confirmation from the organiser. This may be due to approval processes or awaiting confirmation from the organiser. Please allow time for the status to update. If it remains pending, contact the organiser using the details in the opportunity listing. Waitlisted Status: All available slots have been filled. If a participant withdraws or additional slots are added, your application may be accepted. Please allow time for the status to update. Rejected Status: The opportunity organiser has decided not to proceed with your application. For clarification, contact the organiser directly using the details in the opportunity listing. Confirmed Status: Your application has been accepted by the opportunity coordinator.

To change your password on volunteer.gov.sg if you are already logged in: 1. Tap 'Hello' in the top right corner of your screen 2. Tap 'My Account' 3. Enter your current and new password, then tap 'Update Password' To reset your password if you are not logged in to volunteer.gov.sg: 1. Tap 'Login' in the top right corner of your screen 2. Tap 'Forgot password?' 3. Enter the email and tap 'Next' 4. Select the mode to receive the One-Time-Password (OTP) and tap 'Get OTP' 5. Enter the 6-digit OTP that you received and tap 'Submit'

You will be notified through email once the agency has confirmed on the shift you have registered.

When you register for an account, we will check if the email id is already registered in volunteer.gov.sg. If the email id is already registered in volunteer.gov.sg, system will not allow you to register. You may have earlier registered for an account in volunteer.gov.sg. You can perform a reset of your password by referring to the question on ""How do I change or reset my volunteer.gov.sg password"".
